Slow Food Nation '08 | Aug 29 - Sept 1

In honor of the Slow Food Nation gathering this weekend August 29th through September 1 in San Francisco, Ca. Bevalo is offering single origin espresso shots for $1.00 right here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our coffee roaster, barefoot_logo.jpgBarefoot Coffee Roasters , was selected as one of only 10 roasters across the nation to be present at the Slow Food Nation gathering.  Barefoot Coffee Roasters will be featuring single origin beans from their direct trade partner Finca Vista Hermosa. Bevalo will be featuring single origin beans from the same farm. Please join us for a "staycation" to Guatemala by tasting our Nahuala and El Eden single origin espressos.

Mazzer Kony riding shotgun E-mail

Here is a picture of the mazzer riding shotgun in the element.

I thought it looked funny strapped into the passenger seat. It was still a little dizzy from surgery. Had to remove a few un-needed parts and add a schectermatic.

Kony is at home on the time-o-lite darkroom timer, analog with the glowing dial. I used the same timer in my ninth grade photography lab. It works great on the grinders. I like the analog feel.

mmmm chromeOur espresso machine showed up today.

The delivery guy left the 110 kilo pallette on our sidewalk.He said "got any help?" i said "no". He said "good luck" and left.

I stared at it for a while, the dogs sniffed it.

O'Connor came over and we carried it in, it took 2 days for my arms to recover.
